Illustrated undies for Madalynne

I am really excited to show you guys a bit of what I am currently working on. Today Maddie released he first sewing pattern and I drew the illustrations for the cover. This girl has been working really hard on this and I am so proud to finally see the grand reveal of her first pattern!

You can see Maddie's post about it here, download the pattern for free here and see the technical sketch that she put together below. I already have my pattern printed out and I can't wait to start sewing a pair for myself.

Stick around because there will be more illustrated undies coming up soon.

Firmoo glasses review

I was contacted by Firmoo - an online retailer for affordable yet stylish eyewear - a few months ago to review a pair of their glasses. I used to wear prescription glasses while in elementary school and, for some unknown reason, my much younger self suddenly decided that I no longer needed them. I hadn't had an eye exam since then (I know, so bad!) so this was the perfect opportunity to see how my eyes were doing and get my sight checked after so long.

It was tough deciding on one style because I had set my sights on, at least, three different frames. I ended up choosing these glasses but I might just go back in the future and get myself an oval style that I've had my eye on. The frames I got are a very, very subtle tortoise so I want a much more "tortoise" one as well.

I had never ordered prescription glasses online before, so I was worried about various aspects like: will they get my prescription right?, is the fit going to be nice?, will they be sturdy?, will they be damaged during shipping? - and I could probably go on and on.

To begin with, shipping was right on time and I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I opened the package, because the first thing I noticed was how firm and sturdy the glasses are. I've only been wearing them on-and-off for a bit over a week now but they seem quite durable and they are very comfortable. The protective case is very rigid and strong as well, which is always a big plus. I honestly have not found anything I haven't liked yet, either about the service or the glasses themselves, and I love that!

Firmoo is offering their First Pair Free program at the moment. So, if you are looking for new prescription glasses, want to change your look with non-prescription lenses or are looking for some new sunglasses, you can head over to Firmoo and get your first pair for free - you only pay shipping.  They even offer a refund/exchange if you are not satisfied with them.

Disclaimer: This product was sent to me for free but, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
